Blade Rolling – the slab is rolled on the reversing mill under very controlled conditions utilising CAgroup proprietary TMCR process. This TMCR process has unique settings for each blade gauge and alloy, utilising both hot and cold rolling to produce blades with a fine directionally uniform elongated stable grain structure resulting in superior strength and resistance to corrosion and creep, whilst achieving excellent conductivity. Tight tolerances are achieved for both gauge and flatness through this process. Detailed metallurgical examination, hardness testing, tensile testing and assays are conducted on the rolled plate to ensure consistent high quality blades.
Blades are then cut to final size and shape to achieve very tight dimensional tolerances using CNC profiling equipment or guillotining.
